Commemoration of Cyrus the Great

Cyrus the Greate Day — A Legacy of Peace

Cyrus Institution in Perth aims to establish 29 October as an annual celebration bringing together peace-loving people from all cultural backgrounds to promote friendship, unity, and mutual understanding.

This date commemorates the historical entry of Cyrus the Great into Babylon 2,585 years ago, an event remembered for its significance in human history and its association with tolerance, human dignity, and peaceful coexistence.

Through this celebration, we seek to honour this historical legacy while embracing the universal values of peace, freedom, and respect for cultural diversity.

The event will be free and features inspiring speeches, live music, and cultural performances, creating a welcoming space for people from all walks of life to connect, share experiences, and celebrate our common humanity.

Our vision is to make this commemoration a meaningful, inclusive, and enduring annual event in Perth, strengthening bonds between communities and inspiring future generations to build a more peaceful, respectful, and harmonious society.

You are warmly invited to join us to commemorate Cyrus the Great Day and the historic events surrounding his entry into Babylon.
