
Cyrus Institution is pleased to announce that, a special workshop on Pahlavani (traditional Iranian Zurkhaneh sport) will be held in Perth.
Dr. Kashi Azad, a renowned expert and certified instructor in Zurkhaneh sports, is traveling to Perth, Australia, to lead this unique workshop. This rare opportunity allows participants to learn authentic techniques, including Meel swinging, Shena (Persian push-ups), footwork, Kabadeh, and Sang exercises.
This ancient sport, registered as an intangible cultural heritage by UNESCO, is more than just physical training—it’s a ritual embodying chivalry, nobility, and the profound mysteries of Iranian tradition, carrying thousands of years of history.
The workshop will be led by Dr. Kashi Azad and conducted in English.

Suitable for all ages and levels
Upon completion, interested participants who meet the requirements may receive coaching certification.
